Speed of Light Broadband does not sell wireless routers. If you choose to use a router for wireless internet access throughout your home/property you should buy one at any electronics store. If you have the router prior to SOL installation, our installers will set it up for you at no additional charge. Speed of Light Broadband does not favor any particular brand of wireless router. We have worked with all of them at one time or another.

If you would like your router to be set up at another time after installation there is a $50 charge for this service call. This can be scheduled by calling tech support 972-292-2627 and pressing 1 for billing or sales, or emailing billing@solbroadband.com

If you are interested in tracking your Internet usage the following routers have a built in bandwidth monitoring and notification system. One of them is currently only $50 at Best Buy. There is also a link attached to a YouTube video explaining the feature on these routers and how to use it. Note that if you power down or restart one of these routers it might lose its data on the bandwidth used. We have not tested for their ability to retain the data during a reboot.
